So I did go to the meeting, and someone had filled the position needed yay ! This means that I can get away from the ranch for a little bit as I work.

Today I got to work with Bert (uncle) and Trevor (cousin) on meadow lands :) Also there was Brian & Stew. The sun was hot and I got some major farmer tan up on that roof :) but it’s all good.

So today I’m totally unsure of the very near future as I’m going to be working the day, but I may also be coming to CSR every night to stay over and help out with jr. camp :| I’m just going to have to wait and see what happens in that part of my life.

Home sweet home, I’m glad to be home again :)) This past week has worn me out for patience, and I’m glad that I get to work with *hopefully* more mature people this coming week as I take on my real (aka paying) job.

For Julia and the ranch I still hope to come after work every day and help the jr. campers go to bed, then stay till the morning then go to work again. But I’m not sure if it will work out though.

Cheryl though will be a counselor which will be interesting to say the least :) She will be working the kitchen with natalie XD it will be a party for them all. :% I feel for jen. (the cook)

I’m sad that I didn’t get to go and see danena when sarah went to muskoka woods to see her. w/e

As for Janiel I have no idea what to say about her … again w/e

music: casting crowns; casting crowns.

people: Julia (CSR) & all leadership staff, steve & my family.

Today it was amazingly sunny out, we had out lunch outside in the sun with a calming gently breeze. Niki was average, a few tears over the pill that he thought was bad tasting that he spit out and lost. Sad to say for me he has currently half what he’s supposed to have.

I’ll be working this coming week, though I’m still in the divide. I’m needed in two places, but family comes first so that’s where I’m going to be though I wish to be else where. (I want to stay and volunteer at CSR, but want to go and work from the family biz)

When school comes around I plan on recruiting as many staff as I can from HDCH as there is a real need for staff both male and female throughout the whole summer.

I would say that I’m in tip-top shape currently as I running after kids all day long. My voice is louder then ever before, and now that I’ve been at camp for a few weeks I don’t loose it from overuse. Over all I’m a stronger person, they say that if it doesn’t kill you it makes you stronger, and I would conclude that it is true.

Music of the day: Falling up ~ Dawn Escapes *Need to buy*

People of the day: My parents, sister, safety & strength of the staff.

Today was a better day for me :) I got to talk with sarah on the deck. It was great as we both needed someone to talk with.

My buddie is happiest when it’s interest period, so I feel bad in having to make him to go to all the events that he doesn’t want to do. :(
Today I asked my mom if I could stay for the rest of the summer and if it were up to her I could stay, but I still need to pass it by my dad. So I am hopeful for the future, but unsure.

Cheryl had a great canoe trip, and they returned safely.

Today I would like to lift up: daeana (probably still home sick) , sarah (from CSR) (who needs to be lifted up)

~ Sorry this didn’t get posted I got distracted :|

The knee is unchanged (see painful). Again the weather was cool and cloudy but that was good for me. The trail ride was unbearable as the Advil I had taken hadn’t yet kicked in, but I was still there for the team effort :)
I still want to convince my parents that I can stay at the ranch for the rest of the summer. It’s so amazing to serve despite the pain.

Today at the wall the ranch hands smashed the record of 100 points for climbing to the top with a whopping 200 points. :) I took one side of the wall and just constantly belayed people up the wall.

All the other staff are doing well, there is always some kid(s) that make you want to scream, but after the week their gone we all laugh it off. Stress is part of our job and it keeps us aware that there are many places in which we see God’s spirit of safely over us.

Week 2 ~ overall

Overall Week 2 went amazing (this is written after, during week 3) We had will come back again and he’s amazing when he wants to be.

I was in the barbershop, co-coulsoling with Adam, travel group leading the Russers! ( again I need spell check .. )

I gave Brandon my new copy of the Bible, Teen guy Revolution version :) He was so thankful. This past week he had been bunking with shaun (shaun’s mom went to hospice where she currently is ;( much of the week shaun was here and there with his family ). Brandon aka double D was a troubeled and bullied out going guy who at the heart of it wanted to have fun. He was a big guy from the city.

Week 2 went by so slow it was nice, week 3 so far has just been a blazing fire of time. This is probably because week 2 was so freekin hot! & week 3 is nice and cool.

During week 2 I helped during all my breaks fixing all their computers & network:) So now everything is working like a swiss watch just like it should.

EDIT: I would like to remember Rachel Woodward for her amazing actions of superman during campfire one night :) She was amazing at them, yet I was on stage not knowing XD

Today is a cooler day, it has been sunny but mostly cloudy and cool. It’s nice but not spirit lifting for the kids. Today I’m maxed for my physical strength as I’m always running after my 1:1 aka buddy child.

My left knee is giving out on me as I’ve been running for about 2 weeks straight now. So I’m basically in the best physical shape that I have been in a while. I just need some rest before I continue running.

Reminder: Buy some falling up cd’s :) Hill song would be an extra :|
On the brighter side Nik says he’s over stealing, thus we will just have to wait till the end of the week to test that one BUT I am looking on the upside of this one. He is listening to me some of the time (see strong willed child).

Sarah got a soaking at the skate park today by the campers, we even got her to do her funny eye brow thingie for it :)) (When she is in certain moods you can get her to do these crazy eye brow movements that I’ve never seen, she is completely hands down the best eye brow mover ever !! )

PS Switchfoot is the best and I’m in the Ranch Hands Group :)

I can’t tell you how amazing it is to serve the Lord in my local community. The ministry that happens here @ Circle Square Ranch Brantford is spectacular.
This week I’m being a 1:1 (one on one) with a camper that means that a person (me) has to follow a camper around all day because of the campers problem (s). This week I was pared with Nicolis who came to us from the CAS (Children’s Aid Society aka foster parents). He is an extremely energetic child that has issues with what is right and wrong, along with lying a LOT~!

I’m located in the barbershop cabin again this week, but with Kyle as the lead counselor. I’m tending as the co-counselor. Already this week we have had great sunny weather that has been comfortable to out side in (I’m currently on the deck typing this :O)

I would like to thank the many many people involved in this ministry for all the hard work that they do and the sacrifices that they make on a daily basis. (Though I doubt that any would find this blog … )

Side note: I do get something for being here for a full week, it’s called $45, enough to feed my self for the weekend to come back again.

I’m mixed on what I will do for the rest of the summer, I have a job but I would so love to stay at the ranch for the rest of the summer. I’m split, I love seeing my parents, sleeping in my wonderful bed and petting my cat (and sister) while earning money working, on the other side of the fence is CSR and wanting to stay with all the wonderful staff that volunteer here.
