Why do we go on ’short’ term missions trips? I for one see a problem with them. For the ammount of money that you raise just to get you there, isn’t as useful as if you had sent them the money.
The fact is that most missions trips overseas are into $2000/ person. Now if your going for over 6 months I can justify the money to get you there, so that you are really there to make a change in a community.
When one gones on week long trips it’s the not the people that you go to that bennifit the most, it’s YOU. The shakes up your world view a little, soon after coming back you don’t see everything the way you always have. It’s then only that you can do something in your NEIGHBROURHOOD! It’s because you went away and saw things, that now when your home, you see your community differently.
It’s not hard to be anywhere in the world & in your own neighbourhood to see needs of the people. You don’t have to go half way across the world to find needs.
The first and most basic that everyone can do is LOVE. Love eachother, love thy neighbour, go out and find those who need God’s love the most. You need to get down and dirty, because it’s easy to love your friends, but it takes somethin to go downtown & love a beggar, street worker, youth in need.
Go out and love oneanother.

Psalm 40:15; May those who say to me, “Aha! Aha!”
be appalled at their own shame.
And so let those who ridicule be to their own
Psalm 41:1; Blessed is he who has regard for the weak;
the LORD delivers him in times of trouble.
And so let the Lord give strength to those who are weak, for the first shall be last and the last shall be first.

For the first time I actually did something with my march break, other then cleaning my room and doing crazy things with friends. The trip went very very well. The best part was that nothing bad happened, so no one was pickpocketed, got lost, or did something stupid.
The sights were amazing and the weather was appropriate. It was freezing cold in a rain jacket + 3 sweaters. When ever we were out at a memorial that day it would be cold and crappy out. It was good to remember, but on the flip side they were all people who there because of determined people in leadership.
I thourghly enjoyed the trip. This coming rememberence day will be different.

Well after much reading and working, today I have completed my goal. I have found a *hopefuly* easy to update RSS feed / Podcast method that looks just like their current page does, but it’s not, it’s WordPress powered. A current copy of their site can be found here: http://andy0.com/yeschurch. It works by using WordPress to only generate the latest sermons, while the rest of the page is the originally fixed html page.
I had a good time building this solution, and hope that it will continue to get used, as it’s the easiest solution that I could configure ![]()

Today with the majority of my fellow grade 12’s I traveled over 12hours to our destination in Québec. The drive was awesome. The bus was cramped but we got through.
I’m loving my lappy and now everyone want to use it, so now i’m off.

So I did go to the meeting, and someone had filled the position needed yay ! This means that I can get away from the ranch for a little bit as I work.
Today I got to work with Bert (uncle) and Trevor (cousin) on meadow lands
Also there was Brian & Stew. The sun was hot and I got some major farmer tan up on that roof

So today I’m totally unsure of the very near future as I’m going to be working the day, but I may also be coming to CSR every night to stay over and help out with jr. camp
I’m just going to have to wait and see what happens in that part of my life.

Home sweet home, I’m glad to be home again :)) This past week has worn me out for patience, and I’m glad that I get to work with *hopefully* more mature people this coming week as I take on my real (aka paying) job.
For Julia and the ranch I still hope to come after work every day and help the jr. campers go to bed, then stay till the morning then go to work again. But I’m not sure if it will work out though.
Cheryl though will be a counselor which will be interesting to say the least
She will be working the kitchen with natalie XD it will be a party for them all. :% I feel for jen. (the cook)
I’m sad that I didn’t get to go and see danena when sarah went to muskoka woods to see her. w/e
As for Janiel I have no idea what to say about her … again w/e
music: casting crowns; casting crowns.
people: Julia (CSR) & all leadership staff, steve & my family.

Today it was amazingly sunny out, we had out lunch outside in the sun with a calming gently breeze. Niki was average, a few tears over the pill that he thought was bad tasting that he spit out and lost. Sad to say for me he has currently half what he’s supposed to have.
I’ll be working this coming week, though I’m still in the divide. I’m needed in two places, but family comes first so that’s where I’m going to be though I wish to be else where. (I want to stay and volunteer at CSR, but want to go and work from the family biz)
When school comes around I plan on recruiting as many staff as I can from HDCH as there is a real need for staff both male and female throughout the whole summer.
I would say that I’m in tip-top shape currently as I running after kids all day long. My voice is louder then ever before, and now that I’ve been at camp for a few weeks I don’t loose it from overuse. Over all I’m a stronger person, they say that if it doesn’t kill you it makes you stronger, and I would conclude that it is true.
Music of the day: Falling up ~ Dawn Escapes *Need to buy*
People of the day: My parents, sister, safety & strength of the staff.
